SMALL BATCH, MINIMAL INTERVENTION WINEMAKING
At Grape Pirates we make seriously good wine without being serious.
Grape Pirates philosophy is allowing the fruit to speak for itself, telling the true story of the vintage and allowing the wine to come together naturally with intervening as minimally as possible.
The Grape Pirates’ Bex and Aaron look after two small vineyards; one established (27 year old vines), at 997 metres altitude and have freshly planted another vineyard in 2025 at 950 metre’s altitude, both located in the cool climate wine appellation of Orange, NSW. In the vineyard they follow sustainable practices with an hands on approach. Additional grape varieties are sourced from local growers. Pirate Aaron works at a near by winery where he is able to process the fruit, make their wine and care for it through to bottling.
Grape Pirates pour free tastings monthly; locally at the Orange Farmers Market which takes place the second Saturday of every month from 8:30am to midday at the Naylor Pavilion, Orange Showgrounds, Leeds Parade.
Find us in Sydney at the Marrickville Organic Food Market on the third Sunday of every month from 9am to 3pm at 142 Addison Rd, Marrickville, 2204.
Beautifully crafted wines from the cool climate region Orange, NSW.
