2024 Grape Pirates Riesling | Orange, NSW
Tasting note: Pronounced poached pear, mandarin and verbena aromatics. A dry, textural Riesling bursting with finger lime, kumquat and traditional lemonade. Moorish acidity enriches the palate with a long, smooth sorbet finish.
Our Riesling vineyard is located on the slopes of Gaahna Bula (Mt Canobolas), 990 metres altitude.
Winemaking: Hand-picked on the 9th of March 2024. Fermented in tank and transferred to mature French oak at three Baumé to complete fermentation. Left on lees for six months receiving regular bâtonnage. Racked to tank and naturally settling prior to bottling.
